Bike Frame Painting

I'm thinking about painting a used mtb bike frame I recently purchased.

I used to be thinking if anybody has done this before and would advise on the best approach to do this?

The issue is that I don’t worry to spend a fortune on the job but just something that will brighten the bike up, keep it protected from rust, and have a good finish to it.

Also any ideas of the best places to purchase the primer and paint etc?

    get it powdercoated at somewhere like Triple S or go to local motor paint factor and they will sell you everything you need.
    .
    The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.
