Trying to decide between Bora WTO 45's and Fulcrum speed 40c.
Input would be appreciated , both are rim brake, price almost the same ?

The Fulcrum's 17 mm internal width is very narrow by today's standards. Even the WTO at 19 mm is narrow compared to current disc wheels, but is perfect for 25 mm wide tyres to follow rule of 105% for optimal aero profile.

Unless you're worried about a Shimano/Campagnolo groupset clash, it's the Boras all day long. I have the 60 mm WTOs on a an Itallian bike with SRAM, which is just about acceptable
  • I've got the 45 Bora's and run Shimano...No issues for me!! Agree Bora's all day long.

Bora for sure. They look the coolest.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the braking on my Bora Ultras (with Campagnolo red pads) is IMO better than the braking on my disc set ups (including Ekar). That's in all conditions too. It's just the b0llox!
  • Yep the braking is as good as anything I have experienced. The modulation is second to none and the noise is cool.
