Planet X Hurricane Clearance-Tyres? Guards?

I can't get a straight answer from Planet X. The Hurricane advertises clearance for 30mm tyre and clearance for mudguards. What experience do people have of these? What size of tyres can you fit with mudguards on?

    I should say no problem. This is my Hurricane with 28mm Schwalbe Durano.

    Px also have a pretty good offer on SKS mudguards. Bit more than the £14.99 I paid but not bad.
