I used half time for a power nap so I could finish the game awake. Have heard the usual mix of… It was awesome, it was rubbish. Strangely aligned to peoples musical tastes.
I don’t think anyone puts on a bad show. Just different people enjoy some more than others. It’s a frantic time squeezed effort.
There has been some bad ones. Also, there's a tricky balance between putting on a show and just playing your hits (for example like The Who did) - that's not that interesting.

Fair enough, I don’t recall any bad ones but I’ll not argue the point, I really don’t pay it much attention. As I say, I used last nights as a nap opportunity.
Agree with you on just churning out hits. I thought the 2012 olympics closing ceremony was woeful for that reason, just a load of artists playing a song each. I spent a good while thinking the bands were an introduction to something interesting before finally recognising it was just a very expensive disco and turning off.
The Maroon 5 one was bad, but I've just watched as much of the Black eyed peas one as I could stand. If Fergie pretending to be Axl Rose is your idea of entertainment, it's a winner.
