Soggy here. Riding plans seem to be cancelled.
Might go walking up some small hills later if the sun comes out.0 -
Windy again, the only upside is that it's blowing the clouds through at pace thereby creating sunny intervals.
Jack left me a complete mouse in the night. I must thank him for teaching me.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

An ode to Jackpinno said:
Jack left me a complete mouse in the night. I must thank him for teaching me.
I'm the intrepid hunter of the land,
The one whose visit is never planned.
I'm the agile climber of the trees,
Bringer of death and hater of fleas.
I may only be little but I stand tall,
Predator of those that fly and crawl.
I'm to be feared and that is that -
Though to humans I'm just a fluffy cat, who bites your feet when you’re being a tw@t.
In a past life, I was worshipped no end -
Out in fields, I used to hunt and fend.
Killing birds and catching fish,
I would obey my master's every wish.
My hunting name is Horus the Great,
Though people forget this, at any rate -
I'm expected to cuddle and act all sweet,
Purring pathetically at their feet.
So why is it, that my masters cry,
When I bring them birds, from the sky?
And don't they like the mice I bring,
Tasteful presents, off the hunting King?
They tell me I'm bad and won't let me in,
As if catching creatures is a demonic sin.
I roll my eyes, for I have nothing to say -
I'm on the lookout for my next prey.
Stalking my Kingdom, off I go,
Climbing up high and peering down low.
I'm an Egyptian hunting cat -
Excuse me, please, whilst I catch this rat...
I'm the feared hunter of birds in flight,
The dreaded chaser of mice at night.
I'm also Jack, pinnos cat.
And I'll always come home for my tea.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי3 -
Morning,
Sounded pretty wet and windy outside so stayed in bed until the hounds demanded to be let out. Just having having a bit of brekky (dogs are getting a bit of mackerel as a treat), then off out once the rain passes.
Weighing up a short test bike ride later depending how the leg gets on before then"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

Afternoon folks,
Traditional slow start was enjoyed, looked grim out earlier but it looks to have picked up a little now. Still a tad blowy but not too bad so going for a stroll with the EPO. Nice relaxing Sunday, just as it should be.
When Thistle said the MFs should have a Jack I thought he was going to suggest their patented universal remedy for a moment.

Afternoon. Did about 34-35km (equivalent) on the turbo today, longest in ages. Felt ok, didn’t go mad. Got some admin to do, bit more marking, some 11+ stuff with GTi junior and relaxing to still do. I’ll ponder over 10 vs 11 speed for the flat bar conversion while I’m at it.0

you won't notice any difference 10 vs 11 so just go with whats easiest available/cheapest for best quality.johngti said:Afternoon. Did about 34-35km (equivalent) on the turbo today, longest in ages. The MFs are too tired for that at tbe mo' - shattered bambino, vomming hound, running round Casa MF doing stuff and making sure MF in Stevo's mezzanine doesn't get up to too much trouble.veronese68 said:Afternoon folks,

Ride rided, well windy. Enjoyed it, could have done with a Luke Rowe at times on the outbound leg; excellent wind assist on the final climb before the drop back into The Valley. A good one.
Need to wash down da machine and then self before vegetating for the rest of the day.0 -

90km, caught two hail showers, first of which was akin to being slapped in the mush with a wet halibut.
350 watts to touch 20kmh down (DOWN!) a 4% gradient at one point.
The glorious grinding of dirty brakepads on rims, the cassette was black by the end of the ride.
Finished off with a flat white and a slice of blueberry lemon in the local coffee shop.
Washed the bike as the sunset, warm suds lapping at the patio doors as I got a bit over zealous with a muc off sponge (haven't we all at one point?).
Good day all round I say.2 -
Record 10 ultra shift. That is the dog's danglies. SR 11, not as good. Nice but not as good.MattFalle said:
