In the peaceful, calm lull between Malik and Corrie.
Will now go and exploit it.

Clear and chilly here, so sticking an extra layer on for the hounds outing. Bit of admin later - put up the racking in the man cave (TM Stevo_666) yesterday, now I need to put stuff on it.

(mid)Mornin' all you early risers. Sun shining! Need to get 100% pure Colombian #2 on board then head out for what should be a pleasant pootle. A longer, flatter route beckons; bound to be lots of walkists out and about down by The River, but hey take it easy, all good.

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start is being enjoyed, coffee next. This will be followed by a spot of pottering in the garage and a visit to the old dear's. Looks quite bright and allegedly not too cold so could be a good day for a stroll with the EPO. Have a good one whatever you are doing.

agree normally but 'bars are carbon stem/s are not.

have decided to spray up a stem and see how it looks but also keep brand new powdercoated black stem as substitute.

both are ITM Millenium so same shape.

if grey is pap, replace with black and just respray grey black.

also keeps me out of domestic duties for a bit.

...i fitted the vrc ones over ten years ago, comfy tops, ultra stiff, roomy internal cable routing, tempted to get another set for 'just in case' as the price is a steal

Have to say our oubliettes are a bit nicer than the original versions. I'm only lacking a khazi to avoid coming back to the house during the working day.

Forgetting you call it an oubliette seems appropriate to me.

How about one of these to save the trip back to greif in the house.

Or he could set it on fire and trebuchet it into the neighbours garden. Reminds me of that old Macc Lads song

    'Noon

Run runned in clear skies and warm.sunshine which rapidly changed to misty and freezing cold - brr.
Walk abandoned due to millions of fallen trees blocking the path. Not sure if it was Storm Malik or @haydenm shouting.

Trying not to nod off on the sofa this week.

Longest ride of the year so far completed. Loop around and back through The City.
A v gentle wobble through the busy section along The River. Lots of college rowing club newbies out getting coached and / or berated. Cold temps meant the ogle factor sig reduced, not that I'm going Prince Nonce mode, no no not at all. Good day out, good to see some sunshine. Bring on Spring.

Stuff done a few decisions made and a crafty ride out on the cyclocross / gravel bike. Few PB,s and A legend banner thing ffs just for riding down a hardly used green lane.

Started the ride in still conditions and ended up in a very stiff head/cross wind.
    On a 15 mile section, I saw 3 cars.

Oh and it's now blowing a frikkin hoolie. Jacks unsettled - he's already bitten Shorty.

    Now to watch the CXWC's.

I like that stem on the Cinelli site. Pity it won't fit old Criterium 26.8 handlebars.
