command dropper post

Hi, buying a used bike and 2 things about the dropper concern me
1, it wasn't holding at some height levels, just falling to the lowest. i seemed to find it holding well about half way up and then all the way up. Is this normal for the command or should be hold at any height?
2, rotation play. Not too much, few mm at the saddle nose. I know this can be quite common, but not sure about the command post.
Thanks,

Check the air pressure in the Command Post.
There is a valve at the head of the post.
A couple of mm rotational play is usual and nothing to be overly concerned about.“Life has been unfaithful
And it all promised so so much”

thanks, will do! I am also reading that the older command posts had 3 pre-set travel 'levels', so this may well be fine0
