Boardman CX team 2016/7

Hi Guys,

First post here :)

A little favour to ask, I have bought a CX team frame and need to know the setup for the lower bearing which sits on the carbon fork. The chap I bought it off doesn't know and the LBS doesn't either.
AFAIK, the bearing should sit on a crown race so I bought a 1.5" FSA orbit one but it doesn't sit on top of the fork crown, probably about 2mm away.

If anyone has a similar model could they check for me if possible?
Its holding back my gravel ride build and doing my head in. :(

    Can't help but have you tried contacting Boardman bikes via their web-site or even asking at Halfords?

    yes, I have. The LBS have a contact at Halfords who have access to the computers, drew a blank. They even contacted FSA to see if they can ID the situation (still awaiting a reply)

    this is a photo of my 2014 boardman CX. the forks on the black one is fatter at the bottom. would that mean it doesn't need a crown race?
