Yep nippy start with a ride to bishops castle for the salop sludger - perhaps if I had gone to bed before 2am it would have been easier0

Morning. Day 3. Might go into the back garden today, try to finish building the bike up, see if I can find the through axle adaptors for my turbo trainer. Do a bit more work. Usual stuff. Hope my U14 team goes well - but of a local derby this morning up against Gravesend grammar.0

Late awakening. All that fresh air, sunshine and cold breeze tree planting yesterday; or could have been the drinks several last night. Good night's sleep anyways.
Today will be fettling; do some outdoors tidying plus prep for the seasonal decs (which are not lighting up until Christmas week, hardcore traditionalist here) plus bike fettling, forecasting heavy rain by afternoon so prep for a ride tomorrow. Plan.0 -
Bit of a lie in had (and was needed). Junior is home again but has pushed off already to see her mates. So will walk dogs then do more disposing of furniture packaging down the tip. May also need to block off a hole in the decking as we reckon foxes are getting in there.
Spot of footy watching later maybe and the customary take away plus tramp fuel.

Well done on the tree planting 'Loon.
Our seasonal 'decs' won't go up until Friday you'll be pleased to know. There are some ridiculous light shows on houses here locally.
Bit 'hungover' today after the Flu-C19 doubles game.
So energy levels will dictate the day's activity.
Hope post includes a thermo valve.

Day on the tools in the shed machining up timber for drawers. Quicker than I expected the job to be, but still a *lot* to do.

Afternoon folks,
Early start for me today, by my standards at any rate. Collected female child from Brighton then a bit of pottering. Now relaxing for all I'm worth. Helping friend's daughter move into a small flat tomorrow. I'll be going to work for a rest on Monday.
Hope the Mrs is comfortable now Oxo, that's been more than a little stressful for you.0 -
Weird day. Went in the garden to finish the bike, started raining so dropped that idea. Did a bit of marking. Started reading the expanse. Just watched strictly. Had a nice birthday brunch and dinner with me sat in the conservatory and the family sitting around the dining table miles away. Got another week of this.0

Yo dudes, dragged my arse round the football pitch, managed to sneak a 3-2 win against the local rivals. Proper old school, dodgy ref, dodgy decisions, dodgy tackles the lot. All played on a deteriorating pitch, in the rain. Cant beat it.0

There be an errant MF in or on my roof space. It's either a pigeon with heavy boots or...0

Rolands and their mini wannabe Mickeys are more scrabble, scrape, knock, scratch. This was def more on the stomp scale, like a pigeon or an MF with the big boots.oxoman said:Roland Rat 🐀
(😊 I'm not bothered in reality, would have been noise transmission from the roof tiles. This place I rent currently is a 90s estate build so old school tech loftspace, insulation blankets on the top of the ceilings, no thermaboards etc on the roof structure.)0
