XC Tires (or Combo) for Loose Over Hardpack

What's your go to for loose over hard pack conditions?
Probably in around a 29x2.3-2.4.
Bonus points if it comes in tanwall.
Biggest concern is really climbing traction on the rear so it doesn't spin out on punchy climbs (I'm good not great technically so it needs to cover a bit for my less than stellar technique). Next concern is rolling resistance (because faster is better).
