Help with bike collection Wigan to Northampton

I’m in Northampton and unable to collect,If anyone can assist I could meet up at the services J15a.happy to pay £20 for your time etc too.

Just a wild guess, but probably the bike you would have picked up in Wigan.

I'm a bit puzzled by this - are you expecting someone on the forum to spend half a day of their life, and take quite a big hit on fuel/car running costs - in order to deliver you a bike? Or are you after a recommendation for a professional courier?

I suspect the OP is hoping that there is someone on here who is travelling from Wigan, down the M1 past Northampton who would be kind enough to pick up the bike from Wigan and drop it off at J15A services . . .

If you had posted this on a Sunday morning in the 70's there used to be loads of folk traveling back from an all nighter at the Casino.

Sadly, the police forced it's closure then some tw-t burnt it down!

I'm intrigued why you will drive to the services but won't just go on the rest of the way?

Currently 2 hrs 40 mins @21.10 and 140 mile including M6 toll.

uk average = 15.8p per mile = £22.12
plus M6 toll = £7
Time = UK minimum wage £9.50 x 2:40 = £25.33

Reasonable total price £54.45

Couriers probably cheaper.

But as mentioned he's working on the basis of someone already making the journey so it would be £30 for some minor detour at the start. The main issue is the likelihood of finding someone on the site doing the journey at a mutually convenient time.

I know but really ? Why on earth would anyone ever travel from Wigan to Northampton other than to go to Silverstone ?

It really is more likely that someone will just get payed to nick the bike.
