12 speed shimano chain with r8000 chainset

Hi has anyone have any REAL World experience on the above combination? I know unofficially it's not supported but wondering if any one runs this combination.

Cannondale CAADX GRX 812

    Search Youtube for Jon Maloney and he demonstrates 11 speed R9100 chainset with new 12 speed R9200 groupset(inc. 12 speed)

    I run a 12sp XTR chain on my R8050 groupset. No issues at all and much quieter than the original Ultegra chain.

    Big thread on WW about this.

    Seems to work well in most cases.

    I'm thinking I might have a go woth one when my chain next needs replacing.

    Well took the plunge and have to say runs perfect on my r8000 groupset, and as me mentioned above definitely quieter.
