Stinging eyes in the rain!

Was caught in heavy rain a few days ago and had to stop 3 times because my eyes suddenly started to sting due to water running down my face.Happened again today. I had to stop dead in the road with an arctic lorry behind me who had to stop! That was embarrassing. I literally could not see. I wear large clear glasses but it’s not the driving rain direct into my eyes. It’s the same feeling you get when you have sun lotion on your face and when you get hot it can sweat into your eyes? I had no such lotions on my face. Any reasons why this is happening?

Sweat being washed into your eyes has that effect ( weak Uric acid ).

Ah! Never even thought of that! That could be the culprit as I’ve not washed the lining for a long time! Eww! I’ll stick in the wash!

It could be tea? When I skipped the tea I was singing in the rain!

Maybe you could get some tips from this fella. He looks like he knows a thing or two.

Don’t be fooled, 23 kids and counting, he knows how to ride.

Washed the lining people. Hopefully this might solve the problem. Thanks for all your kind comments. Great forum when you need help:)

Could it be any hair products washing into your eyes? Under helmet hat might be useful.
Anyway, judging by the current weather, rain, rain and more rain, let's hope it's sorted.

A cap will reduce rain contact and absorb sweat.
    Sorted.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Or a head sweat band. I suffer with it also and stick a sweat band on.

One of the best things I’ve bought for cycling. Well actually I’ve got two.
