Hi, I recently bought a set of these wheels and whilst I am pleased with their performance I am however having trouble putting tyres on them without the use of levers, and even then they are difficult to get on. My LBS also commented that they hadn't experienced as much difficulty getting tyres on a wheel before. Is anyone using these and can give me some pointers as to a suitable, easy to fit tyre for them.

    Not Gardas but I had a set of Revos a few years ago and had the same issue. Absolutely nuts how tight tyres were.

    But since then I’ve tried to put some Schwalbe Ones on the wheels that came on my Cube but they wouldn’t go at all so may need to try different tyres?

    I tried Schwalbe tyres as well and they wouldn't go on the Gardas either. The thought of standing roadside with a puncture and knowing what lies ahead getting the tyre on is not one that is very appealing. It's a shame as they are decent enough wheels.

    What is wrong in using tyre levers to remove/put on tyres? You don't have to only use your hands to do it.

    Exactly.
    Some people have an aptitude that helps them overcome practical problems .Others make hard work of what some see as simple tasks. That is just a fact of life. No criticism intended. We all have our strengths and weaknesses in life.

    These wheels are so difficult to get tyres on even with levers, and I've put more tyres on with and without levers than I care to remember over the past 45 years. If only I had read the reviews particularly on Chain Reaction before purchasing a set.
