Budget Carbon Seatpost Recommendations
Anything else that I should be considering that is in stock (27.2mm)?
TIA.

Doh - sorry just seen it - I may have one brand new, but it might be an inline.
Any use?
It's an FSA, bought from Planet X as it happens.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

I've had one on my Cube Attain GTC for ~3.5+ years, comfort improvement over the default alloy.ibr17xvii said:

Selcof is a p/x in house brand, one of the many they sell - I think they havebought the name and sell their bits under their brand.
perfectly good, nothing at all wrong with them, probs come out of the same factory as everything else tbh.
have had some of tbeir stuff and seat posts before - was actually rrally quite nice.
Selcof wheels are a v option if choosing along Prime/Farsport etc lines..The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

Probably completely in my head but when I go from an alloy post to a carbon post I always think the carbon is comfier.
Looking at it closer it has the "wheel" fastening instead of the bolt at the front. I have similar on my TCR which I like so that's a big tick from me.0 -

Genuinely never bought anything from Planet X (no idea why) so that's useful to know cheers.
Must admit I was pretty taken aback at the price for the Prime post considering they are a budget brand to all intents & purposes.0 -
Tbh, £70 for a Selcof seatpost is quite steep but I suppose thats the current market
but still, atm, unfortunately we're all stuck in the same boat
nothing at Decathlon, SJS, Tredz, Paul's or similar?.The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

or take a punt on Chinese sellers on Amazon for something like this once you have found your size

Only had a quick Google but it didn’t throw up anything I fancy. Even eBay was pretty sparse.0 -

Again no experience of Chinese stuff. Quite hesitant if I’m honest. Would rather go with the Planet X TBH although they’re probably made in virtually the same place.0 -
Search " toseek " on Ebay. I used one of their seat post without a problem.1

Anyone got experience with Tifosi?
Heard of them only through Ed Laverack on YT, just over £40 for a seatpost on Amazon.0 -
Do a quick search on here - debate a few weeks ago.
Based in Newport Pagnell or somewhere of that ilk, import stuff from China as per the norm, put their own branding on it.
Fairly bog standard, no better or worse than anyone else..The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

Ta, expected as much for the price.
TBH the clamp is mostly what I look at.
Hate fiddling around with sub standard clamps for hours trying to get the saddle in the right place.
I quite like the look of that Selcof for the price. About on a par with what I expected Prime to charge but clearly not.0 -
Stupid question alert - aren't all round non aero seatposts DI2 compatible?
Asked Planet X about the one above & they've come back & said there weren't sure basically & as they don't stock / sell an appropriate battery holder they're saying it's not?!?!
All the battery holders I've seen for standard seatposts are pretty much the same so I can't see why it wouldn't be?0 -
As long as they're hollow inside (you can slide a battery in them), then yeah - every round, non-aero seatpost is compatible .
Some have internal blockage because of 'suspension' or springs.. but 99% of the seatposts will work ;-)I run BetterShifting.com - Di2 help / tips / guides1 -

Still on the lookout for this & in the meantime the Selcof has gone up to £79.99?!?! Seems a wee bit steep. Better known brand ones are available for not much more.
Seen this in the meantime but never heard of them either:

Just wait a couple of weeks and the Selcof will be back down in price again - PX will probably lob it in some "mega sale deal" at the original price..
