Good to see another young rider breaking through outside of the BC system. Used to train a lot with his dad - met through a ride someone on the old cycling plus forum organised must be nearly 20 years ago and as a couple of newbies to the sport we used to ride out to the local group rides together to get a kicking off the likes of Dave and Paul Spencer and other local hitters.

    Given that he rides on an Irish license, it's no surprise he's succeeded outside the BC system. ;)

    He deserves his pro contract, he's achieved great results as an u23 rider. I think he's the youngest ever stage winner in the Tour de l'Avenir.

    I think he probably became Irish when the GB set up weren't interested and the Irish were.
