Quarq power meter models updating/connecting

Hello I have just purchased a second hand Red crankset with a Quarq power meter. I believe it is an older Riken/Elza model but how can I tell.
I was looking to check firmware etc. but it don't seem to connect to the Sram Axs app. It connects to my Garmin fine without issues but not having any luck connecting to my phone.
