Hi,
I'm looking for an upgrade for my Tarmac SL4, currently running narrow Vision T30 13mm inner width! (weight is good, <1600g) wheelset.
I can't fit bigger tires than 25mm (chainstays are about 33-34mm wide, so 25mm with wider rim should still fit, but no space for bigger radius)
What's your tought on few available carbon clinchers in 900-1200GBP/Eur range ?

-Cero RC35 or RC50, super light, 1293-1399g, 930-940eur https://www.cycledivision.co.uk/wheels/?bike_material=156&cat=492
-Hunt carbon 36 aero wide, 1417g, 1039e https://eu.huntbikewheels.com/collections/road-cx-rim-brake-wheels/products/hunt-36-carbon-wide-aero-road-wheelset-1417g-36deep-27wide-949
-Speedsix quatro, 1430g, 935e https://speedsixwheels.com/ruedas-carbono-carretera/quatro/quatro-cubierta/

there are few others: DR Wheels 33, Speedsix evo 35 / 45.
or maybe I'll find some 1-2y old model in good shape.

Is 'aero effect' (40-50mm deep rim) worth extra 100g ? I try not to ride on flat :) (I try to have at least 1000m elevation for every 50km ridden) and I live in dry area

any thoughts? advices ? cheers !

If it's lightness you are after, I would have said Winspace Hyper - uk distributor now as well, although I now suspect you are not UK based, but then you could easily go direct, and probably save some money:

Youtube reviews of the Cero wheels I have seen I am fairly sure the trend seems to be that they weigh more than the range they state - happy to be proved wrong, and I may be thinking of another brand, but I was researching them last year and I'm 90% certain I saw at least 2 reviews that said as much.
    Felt F70 05 (Turbo)
Marin Palisades Trail 91 and 06
    Scott CR1 SL 12
    Cannondale Synapse Adventure 15 & 16 Di2
    Scott Foil 18
  • I have said it on many a thread about aero wheels, but IME the best I have used have been the couple of pairs built by Derek at Wheelsmith. They will come in under budget with DT 240 hubs (he can build cheaper with different hubs) and be around your stated weight.

The one thing that often gets overlooked in the wheel debate is the build quality, the 2 sets I have had from Derek have been a higher build quality than any other factory made or handbuilt wheels I have purchased.

    Definitely worth looking at https://wheelsmith.co.uk/road-cx-wheels/aero-dimpled-road-disc-wheelsmith-6-bolt-45mm-dimpled-tlr-rim-brake
