Replacement bike for Norco Charger

So this is my current bike

I mainly do forest trails with some rocks etc but no jumps, I’m too old.

Is it possible to get a massive upgrade by buying a bike from Evans cycles spending £1000-1500. Must be Evans due to cycle to work savings.
I’m limited to £1500.

I want something quick, lighter if possible.

    I forgot to mention I’ve upgraded the pedals & grips.

    Short answer is no, i dont think you'll get anything thats a massive upgrade with current prives and avaIlability.

    If you are allowed components, maybe spend some on a quality dropper post and drivetrain spares.
