SRAM brake bleeding

Just refitted some new calipers to my SRAM Rival hydraulic disc brakes.
They have reach adjustmentcon the brake lever. Online instructions are, to my mind, ambiguous about what you do with this when bleeding.
Should I wind the adjustment screw right in, which moves the lever away from the bars (too much for my small hands) or should I wind the screw right out which brings the lever much closer to the bars and it is sloppy?
Doing it with it set where my hands want it isn't really working with the lever pulling back too far afterwards.
Winding the screw right in, pushing the lever away from the bars, doesn't half firm up that lever but it is out of reach.
Can't work out which way to try. Suggestions?

  • Shouldn't really matter where the lever is ,Sounds like you have some air in there if its too soft ,make sure it's nose down when bleeding too .
