    Currently dry but doubt it will last, which is a shame because I’ve got to walk the hounds and then a long run at church Stretton followed by a bbq with friends - so sunshine would be appreciated

    Morning All. Damp and dull out with wet stuff promised. Going to do first parkrun in a long time since covid. Won't be fast after last night's alcohol. Steady day keeping family happy.

    Grey, little patches of blue and there was a brief flash of something bright a wee while ago, dunno what is was. I blame all these festival goers inducing heavenly revenge.

    Will do a rel short pedal avant le deluge forecast for the afternoon. If I play my 'take the rainjacket with me it won't actually rain and the inverse' card, will I still get wet?

    Then do some track Olympics catching up. Kenny and Archibald were something else yesterday.

    Not a very slow start today, off to the sister in law shortly. Think she's in 'looon country, I'll have to keep my peepers peeled.
    Just thought after reading the Friday thread, if I were to see a sweaty sweaty on a gravel bike would I be allowed to talk to him if he's pending moderation 😁

    As expected it chickednit down while we were walking the dogs and is now nice n sunny. Just taken junior's car down to get a tyre changed as she managed to destroy one cutting a corner with a sharp bollard thingy on it. Now supping a large coffee and relaxing in the local cafe awaiting a full English :smile:

    ended up as 117km with 1500m of up, nasty crosswindy all the way, still enough energy left to lay on a sunbed

    To follow the exemplar of disgraced former international development secretary Priti Vacant, I apologise if anyone has been offended by my invisible post that no one has seen.

    Ride pedalled. Rain jacket on. Stayed dry. Though clearly the curse of the jacket was working as wet roads in places so the rain had indeed rained, just not when I was there. So pretty much on form.

    Hope shorty had a good one. Enjoy the time before they grow up properly.

    Got one quote through for the work needed on the house - nothing too serious so it's a price adjuster mot a show stopper. Naturally our buyer is doing something similar so bring on the negotiations...as long as we chip more than we get chipped, no big deal.
