Can't find unusual tyre size.
Could anyone point me to some tyres that fit these rims?.
451x18 20x 1-1/8
Its proving to be quite the problem.
I have already bought some I thought would fit and they did not.
I then went in to my LBS and asked them to get me some. They were helpful and even phoned their contacts at Schwalbe and Continental but apparently they don't make anything in this size or close enough that would fit, at least here anyway.
Thanks!

I don't think any of these fit.veronese68 said:
The stuff I have bought already is similar.
I've been told it's a very narrow but long size.
Thanks0 -
it’s a 20” x 1 1/8 which is a size for bmx bikes.
No idea what narrow and long size means.
What tyres did you buy that don’t fit ?0 -
451 is the ISO measurement of the rim size so they should all be the right diameter. You have 1 1/8 as a width and some of those listed are 1 1/8". If the size has to be 451x18, 18mm is less than 1 1/8". You would need about 3/4" as a width. Is there no room for a slightly wider tyre?

This 451 size rim is used on sporty recumbents and folding bikes such as my Bike Friday Pocket Rocket. I use Schwalbe Durano. Be aware there are two nominal 20in wheel sizes - the more common 406 and the rarer 451. Your best bet is somewhere like SJS although I see much of their 451 offerings are out of stock. However, places like this recumbent specialist should be able to help

I've added some more pictures and a link to the original bike.
Even though they're similar to bmx they seem to be narrower and shorter than usual and tightly fit the calipers and frame.
Anything 451 I've tried hasn't fit.

Thanks Mercia man I'll check them out.0 -
Your Dahon uses the same size tyre according to your link as my Bike Friday - 28x451 or 20x1 1/8 in imperial. That link I gave to West Country Recumbents shows they sell Schwalbe Durano in that size for £12.50. Alternatively they do Schwalbe One in 25mm width which would also fit.0

Here’s another source of narrow 451 tyres that will fit your Dahon. They are marked “in stock”

Edit: Sorry, just realised they are in Netherlands. I seem to remember they’ve stopped delivering to UK since Brexit.Edit again: I may be wrong on delivery as their website says they do deliver to UK0 -
I just tried to buy these and got refunded a short time later. They must be out of stock.mercia_man said:Your Dahon uses the same size tyre according to your link as my Bike Friday - 28x451 or 20x1 1/8 in imperial. I googled the durano 28x451 and every link I tried lists them out of stock when you actually try to buy.0 -
I find ebay very useful for unusual hard to find items:

Those eBay ones are worth looking at. Here’s some 28x451 from a firm based in West Midlands at £14.99 a pair. Also sold by the same firm through Amazon
