Proposal - Olympics Road Race watch..erm...party
Because not even we are prepared to get up at 2am for it...
Should we set a start time, ideally with regular distance to go updates for everyone to join in so we can watch it at a normal hour?
Bit too keen?

I'm going to start a multi purpose spoiler thread
As to Eurosport, they keep popping off to adverts!
I suppose we are spoilt by the normal coverage we get of "normal" races as it is done by professionals for interested viewers rather than the public at large.
Tried to go between BBC ridiculous interview at a predictably vital point of the race and the ads on Eurosport.
Frustratingly I could view it on replay\rewind when viewing on my laptop or phone, but as soon as I cast it to my TV it defaulted to the live view, and I could not get back.
Luckily it did did not spil it for me, as I only saw Pogacar on a podium but didn't see where he had finished, so ended up having to watch it on my laptop.
Oh and then smithy and stephens at 5km to go were swapped out randomly for rochelle gilmour and an aussie carlton kirby.

Managed to avoid the result and watch highlights, except it went from 99km to go and jumped to 15km to go with 2 up the road, no explanation even how.
Nearly ruined it for me, and others clearly.
