Is Bio Grease good for lube gear shift cables?

I have been using this Bio Grease for everything that needs lubrification, only exception is the chain where I use Squirt lube.

Is this bio grease good for gear shift cables?



Other question is, how to choose the right lube for the right bike part?

    yes, instead of changing the cables (if they are still good), we lube it, and it last a lot more.

    Silicone grease is the correct lube for cables. Silicone spray is good too as it cleans as well as lubes but won't last as long.
