Morning. Up nice and early. Off on a tide in a few minutes, nothing too long or tasty. Currently debating whether to wear a gilet. New guitar is being delivered by 10.30-ish so need to be back, showered and dressed by then. Have a play, probably have a snooze this afternoon. Buggerall planned otherwise.

    Hurrah!

Then build shiny bike and commence battling headwinds, and communing with the tabby? Plus basking and visiting the happy dinosaur for supplies? Some form of normality returns. 😀

SG - pass this on: S.O.S - Dwindling Scottish wildcat brothers and sisters seeks help from foreign Tabby deity. Stop.

They lied about the weather. It's dull and breezy with leaden skies.

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start is being enjoyed. Looks glorious out there, day of pottering lies ahead of me.
Have a good trip SG, helps it feel like a bit of normality with you going away.

I bought Look Keo carbon - 2nd hand, very light, still going. No sign of failing which is a slight pity 'cos i'm going to go for the bigger platform Time pedals methinks.

Trimmed the hedges round the driveway, never trimmed my own hedge before (did a summer of gardening during Uni holidays), did ok.

Going to friends house for BBQ later and to watch the footba.

agree they last foe decades - N1 has carbon/ti that are about 15 years old, done tens of thousands in all weathers, absolutely perfect.

I recall finding some Noval on the shelf at bottle shop I worked in very briefly at Uni, early 80’s. Asked the boss about it. He shrugged, no idea, said it had been there for like evah…

I bought it at staff discount, made it quite cheap (almost).

Still probably the best port I’ve had.

Nice ride, first time over a 100 miles in ages, really enjoyed it.

Only crashed once a crossing a ford, which meant a very refreshing dip in the river

Glad you survived TL, just what you need in this heat a refreshing dip. Don't know as i would enjoy the sogginess in the saddle though. Well done on a ton as well.
