Need a Stem - Ideas?

So I’m looking to buy this
https://www.wiggle.co.uk/prime-doyenne-aero-handlebar
But want to combine it with a new stem. Only problem is my current steerer is slammed and the Doyenne Aero Stem needs its 5mm spacer underneath due to the shape, which my lack of useable length just won’t accommodate.I’m quite picky so need an aero stem that is just black, eg no white/grey logo only a black on black will do, Vain I know. Can’t really afford carbon and needs to be 100mm long. I’ve seen the Decathlon pro stem which is a bargain at £14.99 but they don’t have a 100mm in stock.
Any thoughts?

bear in mind you can always de-decal/ respray/have coated/wrap any stem at all to turn it completely black

But no - no no no.

Deda SuperZero aero stem with Doyennes as I have on the Soloist. Looks and performs utterly brilliantly.

Buy one buy one buy one now.

Can get the Deda Superzero at Merlin within budget but not the 100mm, they do have the 110mm will it make that much of a difference to me the weekend warrior?

    Maybe, maybe not.

I went from a 110mm SuperZero to 100mm PRO and noticed it a lot but everyone is different.

You could order it, try it, if it works coolio, if not send it back.

Bear in mind that you can't run it upside down for a negative drop so you have to a positive 6degrees, so if you're running a completely flat or negative set up it may not be suitable.

If I were you I'd order, try then keep or send back.

I have the Doyenne stem to match the bars. The clamping area on the stem is a little narrower than most stems so it comes out at a similar size once you include the specially shaped spacer. So you should be able to run it even with a previously slammed stem.

It is worth noting that it's a 5 degree stem, so it does raise you up slightly Vs a Deda stem which are usually 8 degrees. But you could always take out the spacer to compensate

    Of course:

Looks good with the flush top cap and the spacer blends in nicely (and yes asthetically it would much better without the extra spacer). I will at some point change for an FSA ACR to completely hide all cables and fix that fashion faux pas but there is zero UK availability at the moment.

Be intriguing to see what replaces it in the Prime range to match their aero 'bars...

  • £50 posted. Will include the special (!), little top spacer if you prefer/ need to run a a standard top cap and/ or spacer above stem.

Fantastic condition- only marks are the small ones you can see behind the rear-facing face plate bolts. If you already own one of these stems, you'll know how BLEDDY HARD it can be to avoid catching the stem slightly.

Can you use a Cannondale Knot stem on ‘normal’ steerer and frame (not integrated cabling into stem)?

is it just a stem with holes in it to allow cable routing?

It has the bar with it, funny system beneath the stem, just wondering if anyone out there has one on a bike that isn’t a super six.
