24-16t freewheel?

I am looking for a 6 speed fw with ratios 24, 21, 20, 19, 18, 16. My current fw is 28, 24, 21, 18, 16, 14... I never use the extremes and often alternate between 21t and 18t depending on the wind on the 52t big ring.

However it would be nice to have intermediate steps between 21 and 18 so I can optimise my cadence. It seems all 6 (or even 7 speed) freewheels have standard 28-14t ranges, while the "corn cob" ones run too elite, i.e ~19-13t... It doesn't make sense why you either default wider spaced 28-14t or the silly corn cobs for thunder thighs, where is the middle ground?! I can't even find 30+ yr old freewheels with the desired ratios :/

Was anything like this offered or am I wasting my time?

Yeah I couldn't find anything on eBay and it looks like Miche do cassettes not thread-on freewheels? Closest I had seen on ebay is a 14-16-18-20-22-24t which isn't quite right :/ Maybe they were never made in more unique ratios, or if they were, people are holding onto them these days haha!

Just a thought - but why not move into the 1990s rather than the 1980s and go 7-speed or even (gasp!) 8-speed instead. I know the dropout width might change, but maybe it's worth it...
