Tubeless multi-terrain (not Gravel*) tyres

Recommendations for off-road-ish tyres, up to 35mm, mixed chalk under mud forest tracks (Chilterns), bridleways, towpaths - nothing too technical. Need to be non-horrid on road.

*I don't like the term "Gravel"

It's just a hill. Get over it.

https://www.merlincycles.com/schwalbe-x-one-microskin-allround-tl-easy-folding-cyclocross-tyre-91921.html look a good deal at ~£25 each.

https://www.merlincycles.com/schwalbe-g-one-speed-tl-easy-evolution-folding-gravel-tyre-700c-98628.html will fly on the road, I have a pair of 2.35", currently one on front of my Marasa commuter. Great on light offroad in the dry, but will not offer much grip in wet/mud.

One day I will order a Gravel King or Gravel King SK to try.

For bargains that aren't tubeless, Land Cruiser and CX Pro are safe bets.

Not tried the SK but I really don't rate the standard ones, mine are cut to ribbons and frequently get holes the sealant can't cope with.

I have had G ones and suffered constant punctures with them. They cut up really easily and I ended up binning them after persevering for a few months.

I now have Specialized sawtooth. Not as fast or grippy but way more sturdy!

Been pleasantly surprised at how well my 38mm Gravelking SKs roll on the road. Thought they'd be hard work but not the case.

Can't comment on their longevity as they're fairly new on but tubeless set up (the first time I'd ever tried it with any tyres) was relatively easy.

Interesting. I have Schwalbe G One Allround on rear and the Ultrabite on the front of graveller, latter to counter my repeated front wheel slip tumbles. So far one thorn puncture on rear, currently tubed but moving to tubeless with the new wheelset due in a few weeks. Lot of flint, gravel, bridleway with hedge trimmings etc. Been surprised not suffered more. Approx 2500 km. (Guess what's going to happen next time out).

Anyway, the Allround is ok on tarmac. Not superfast of course, but not that draggy either.

Btw that mega distance total nutjob Jonas Deichmann, he of the trans Eurasia, Cape to Cape, North to South America stuff, currently on a round the world triathlon, a bit covid disrupted, on his recent bike ride across Russia to Vladivostok, he is using Schwalbe G-One Ultrabite.

Just looked back at Strava, and one ride I named "Fecking G Ones...5 rides = 3 tyre worms, not good"
Shows how I felt about them at the time :D
