Shimano cleats - missing notch/centre line/pedal axle marks

Do the newer cleats lack any mark for centring them?
Also, the bolts seem much poorer quality. I managed to strip one putting in shoe. Previous bolts were black and still worked fine fortunately.
Bought from PBK ~2 years ago. Packet looks fine.
