Need to go for a run/ride before the rain returns.
Then spending the rest of the day fixing the kitchen after putting up a blind yesterday.

Wife bonked. Scrambled eggs, beans, sausage and toast for brekkie then off to the park to shout at kids for an hour. Home, mow lawn, roast dinner.

Got up just before 9, that's what Sundays are about. If Stropteen was at home our biggest problem would be getting her out bed in the morning...

Out in a bit once we've had a spot of brekky.

What time do you early risers go to bed?

    12.45.

Seano, ffs. You know scrambled eggs and beans don't mix.

The liar rep from the met office said rain from 12 onwards. It's pi$$ing down.

Keep it below 60watts SG, to be on the safe side.

Hope Giro isn't turning into another big team domination.

Ride ridden. First time I've gone over 160km in a week for long time. 360 degree slight headwind I thought, but I made reasonable progress.

Celebrating that milestone by going for burgers with Mrs H³ and the kids later. I think first time eating out in 2021.

    below 60? no such thing

btw following ticker test, they suggested checking bp more often, 124/64, we should have a bb comparison to see who's most chilled

definitely a lack of gc competition, hope things liven up for the tdf

I think the consensus is that you're allowed to be tired. Although, one of the MF's might tell you to man up but if he does, shout stuff like: Tiramisu, Pantani, Testarossa, Farfalle and Anti-pasta and then he'll go all soporific and misty eyed.

I dread to think what my bp is.

I am indeed not doing enough km. Baby steps towards a decent weekly distance though.

White coat syndrome para mi. Place me in a surgery with a BP test upcoming, stress... and even the week before such appt, in anticipation. Was never an issue until some numpty untrained eejit took a reading wrongly as part of induction into workplace gym, and said oh, that's high, better get it checked.

I can show some 'interesting' numbers, take it again a minute later, down by 25 points.

Anyway, chilled home readings before my MOT this month were 124/66. Btw >100kg. Think Ganna 😉

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start is being enjoyed. Won't answer the question about early risers for obvious reasons. Two cups of tea have been drunk, best I put the coffee on. Going to walk to the old dear's and water plants, check for dead fish then bring her car back as getting it serviced tomorrow.
Not so much rush to put my bike back together as I'd forgotten I can't ride in tomorrow.
Definitely not doing enough miles on the bike, not even doing enough kilometres.
No idea what my blood pressure is

    Therein lies a rub.

Summon one of the MF's to chase him all over the Brecon beacons for a week.

Ah, no - all if the MFs know how heart and soul destroying it is to be up all night with bambini and there is no end to it.

    its just rubbish

    but yeah, man up.

the physiologist who did my test said he'd had him in for the same a couple of weeks earlier

seems i didn't match his power output, not even close, but he is a few kg heavier so not sure it was a fair comparison

I've been steady at 125/75 for the last 20 years, GP doesn't even bother checking any more.

Glorious weekend weather. Faffed about for most of it. Bought an old Cervelo TT/Tri bike a while ago for cheap to use on the turbo. Was pretty neglected, so have been cleaning it up. All sorted, just need a new mech hanger (which Fleabay have lost in the post somehow) as the shifting is still rubbish, but otherwise it's "ok".
