No brand forks

I had a mad ebay moment, and bought an old CX frame (Kinesis), with cantis. No fork, however - looks like it's straight steerer, 1+1/8th".
Anyone got any experience of buying from the various no-brand/unfamiliar brands on Ebay (etc)? Recommendations?
It's just a hill. Get over it.

    If you have to buy a fork anyway might be worth considering cable disc as an option for the front, unless you have wheels already of course.

    Hiya, that's the plan - I bought one from Paul Milne off Ebay. Takes either disc or canti.

    Now all I need is a disc caliper...
    It's just a hill. Get over it.
