front derailleur compatability with 7900 shifters

Hi folks. I want to fit a set of DA7900 shifters on my bike (which is currently DA 7800). Do i need to use the 7900 front mech or can i use any 10 speed sti FD?

Shimano compatibility charts say not: only the 7900 FD.

I'd give it a go though!
