Outdoor turbo trainer for VooDoo Bizango?

Got a voodoo bizango about 2 months ago, enjoying it so far. But I'd like to increase my fitness during the week so am looking at a turbo trainer /bike trainer type device that will fit my mtb.... What would people recommend that doesn't cost a fortune that I could use on my back patio?

Coming in summer, in theory, I'd simply buy a decent pair of 29er/700c slicks to ride the local roads and light off-road during the week and then switch back to nobbly tyres for the weekend.

Presuming the inner rim width of the wheels is ~23mm, a set of slicks that are approx 35-60mm should work fine.
