9mm QR to 15mm thru-axle

Evening all,

I've got a Mavic Allroad elite Disc UST Wheel Set that is currently on 9mm QR but have just brought a new Gravel bike which is running 15mm thru axle.

If i want to fit the wheelset can i run it thru axle or do i need an adaptor to run it 9mm QR.

Sorry if this is a real bone question...i'm not that engineering/mechanical savvy!

    The 15mm diameter through axle is too large to fit through the hole in your Mavic wheelset.

    There is a chance that the Mavic wheelset is a standard 15mm axle but has endcaps fitted to allow a 9mm skewer. If so they should just pull out, but they can be tight. Best check with a Mavic website for that wheelset.
    I am assuming of course that they are both the same width hub either 100mm or 110mm.
