Morning. Dog walked, feeling a bit iffy from the jab still so not going to work today. Trying to get my promotion pack together though so I at least feel like I've achieved something today, been putting it off for a while which is silly as it benefits me with more pay...just a boring task.

Man coming round later to measure up for new windows and minor alterations.

Just taken boy to nursery, his first day in the toddler room.

All of us have been half the night with baby and then boy crying. Knackered!

Have another B12 shot this afternoon, rest of day WFH.

    How is that knee Elbow?

(Someone on the outside might not understand that one).

    Breezy, chilly and sunny again.

    Bore da

Feeling better today having slept 👍

Lie in done, late breakfast now, probably lay off the exercise for another day but that’s fine because marking needs doing so that’s the priority for the day followed by generating a bunch of covering sheets for my department to use with their coursework submissions. Might squeeze another episode or two of the expanse in too.

    More snow's arrived here.
That probably means it will be damp and soggy later when the sun comes out.

Morning, WFH here, looks nice out but still no riding for me. Cold seems to be in retreat and I want to keep it that way. A mate of mine has the same symptoms and we have spent quite a bit of time together looking at deer from a distance recently.

What concerns me is that, being single, he has had a series of extremely short encounters with local service providers in the last few weeks. I have no recolection about how his infection may have passed to me but it would be a difficult one to explain to the OH...

It's healed over, but it's still sore to touch in one very small specific area. I'm beginning to think there may be a piece of gravel or grit in there that they didn't clean out.

At least it wasn't looking at old dears from a distance.

I definately would not put that past him. He has been single for far too long.

Yeah I think so. Lots of the SF seems plausible in some version of the future but it is definitely still SF! Needs a degree of suspending any disbelief but the more science based stuff makes it more enjoyable for me.

Er, how do you know they were extremely short encounters? :o:p

This place is a little odd, Pinno enquires about Elbow's knee, then Oxo pipes up to wish Elbow luck with the knee as his elbow took two ops to fix.
Meanwhile HM may have caught a dose off his mate that's possibly done a Rooney.
Yet nobody asked Thistle what is meant by competitive radio.
Seeing as it's a Monday on Tuesday I'm in the orifice trying to fix other people's incompetence. The problem is they can incompetent faster than I can fix it.
Pleasant enough wobble in but rather cold.

Spent the day mainly supervising tiling guys doing their thing. So far, all good, couple more days in it for them.

Taxi duty for a brief break in the middle of the day.

Competitive radio? I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Not working this week, mainly as getting another poke in the eye tomorrow. So decided to brave the north wind today and get out there. Proper goldilocks: not too cold, not too hot, head wind, tail wind (back, natch), sun, snow, sun and snow at the same time. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Off this week. Fiddled with bike for an hour, screwing things and twisting bits. Doesn’t sound worse than when I started for a change so that’s a win. Car wiper replaced, bath sealed, kid amused. And relax..... twiddling thumbs....Why can’t I relaxed and enjoy the cycling without feeling guilty I should be doing something 😕

That’s a fascinating read SG I’ve just thumbed through the catalogue and will have a better look later.
I don’t know this ibm but do remember some of the kit referred to, fascinating, memory lane haha
    Nice one SG!

Just caught almost 2 year old trying to stick the Amazon remote up the cats 'arris with one hand whilst stroking him with a satsuma with the other hand.

Not sure if this means he's going to be a vet or a pervert when he grows up.
