SPD shoes for touring

My Specialized Elite touring shoes have been wonderful for winter road riding and touring but are now showing their age. Of course they are no longer made and I can’t see a new equivalent from Specialized so looking for recommendations. Need to be stiff enough for long touring days but OK for a bit of walking so I’d prefer to avoid hard core MTB shoes as I’ve found before they are a bit ‘wobbly’ to walk in. Also I need wide fitting shoes (bunion!)
What do you use?

Giro rumble vr are comfortable and decent for strolling a bit. Maybe not wide enough for you though. Also mesh panels, so not waterproof0

Shimano or Lake or Sidi at the higher end but what about Planet X https://www.planetx.co.uk/c/q/clothing/footwear/mountain-bike-shoes or take a punt on ebay. Ive had some nice ones off there0

Decathlon's RC500 (lace up) or RC520 (laces plus ratchet) get good reviews, and appear to be a touring type of shoe.
Was thinking about trying some if I take to commuting. Need to be able to walk when I get to work, so plan to put SPD pedals back on the winter bike0
