Shimano indoor groupset

Anyone seen it?
Ultegra level, no brakes, obviously, and the crankset can be plugged to recharge your phone or (maybe) power an espresso machine.

With many riding only indoors, this could be the next big thing in cycling

tbh though, people would buy it - same as turbo trainer tyres/mats/desks/clothing.

    they'd lap it up.

The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

If it was Dura Ace so would you.
  • I have often wondered why indoor smart trainers need mains power, surely with a rider generating over 100w they could be people powered!

Tacx Neo 2T doesn't need to be plugged in. The only reason to do so is for freewheeling down a descent. A decent capacitor or rechargeable battery could remove that too.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Some fairly terrible April Fools including some GCN Crypto-currency. However, I thought this one was actually quite enjoyable:

... speaking of which, I just took delivery of SHimano R 7000 shifters + FD and RD, brand new in boxes, all for £ 238... very pleased, as I had costed the lot at almost 300

bizarrely i have just changed the bike with Red for the bike with Record on the 'trainer, both of which are far, far superior to Ultegra.

    Yup - mega innit.

my mate at the club supplies them. he's shifted (no pun intended) loads to the fast guys on the Sunday club run.

hunt also do turbo trainer wheels - only fronts because they are designed to be used with modern trainers where the bike sits on it and it doesn't matter when they fall apart.
