in Road buying advice
A mate has a set of carbon wheels with approximately 3000 miles on them for sale. They look in good order and the brake track looks fine. Just wondering if that is big miles on a set of carbon wheels?TIA

    Not really. The rims are pretty indestructible unless delaminated or heavily scored from wet weather use. Just check the hubs are ok.

    No - thats no miles. its a set of carbon wheels, not an egg.

    so long as he hasn't mashed or mulleted them they will be the same as a pair of ali wheels.

    anyhow, if he really is a friend he's not going to sell you some duff wheels, or is this a "friend" in a shop or the local club?

    The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.
