Hey all - and thanks in advance for any support.
Building my 1st 27.5" having only done 26" before. Building on a '15 Genesis Core 1X10. Upgraded the wheels buying a 2nd hand set of DT Swiss E1900 but didnt realise the rear wheel had a '11 Speed Road' markings on the Hub. Tried fitting my 10sp SLX cassette but there is play.
So what have I got? Does the hub only take 11sp road cassettes? Why would that be on an 'Enduro' wheel? Is there anything to convert to a 10sp? Im confused!
Thanks again!

You need a spacer behind the cassette, not sure of the exact thickness off the top of my head but 10speed cassettes are the same width for road and MTB. So you just need a road 11 to 10 speed cassette spacer like this

Seems odd that a 27.5 wheel has a road freehub? Or are the DT freehubs for 11 speed all the same whether for road or MTB?Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0

I think MTB 11 speed is the same as 10 speed but I could be wrong.
Probably easier to make them suit road 11 to maximise compatibility, I'm sure they would come with a spacer from new. Gravel bike trend driving road 27.5 I suspect.0
