Stay at home saturday

'Ning
White dusting outside but clear blue skies.
Was planning on taking advantage if being able to go somewhere new but weather looks best here.

Bike ride, gym class followed by lazing around I think.

    Morning folks,
Traditional slow start is being enjoyed. Looks rather bright out so I think I should have another cup of tea before making any rash decisions on activity. Lad wants to get the Mini going so will be around to offer guidance. Other than that, a bit of light pottering I suspect.

Late start, because I didn't get to sleep till 1am for no good reason. Had a breakfast treat though of some very *very* good fruit loaf toast. They charge a motza for it, but every once in a while it's worth it.

Dog was unhappy today as the morning walkies was short and brisk.

Took convertible out for the day, a drive up north to catch up with a few others for lunch at an "historic" pub. Ambience - not too bad. Food - not too good.

Weather was nice going up, roof down and quite pleasant. Hailstorm and windy rain on the way back, not so much fun.

    In no particular order
    Cat poo
    Baby poo
    Toddler poo
    All dealt with this morning.

Almost a whole bottle of milk poured over our duvet by toddler this morning.

Not having a great start today.

    At least it's sunny.

    a nippybright start

    ride up and down,

My ride up was fine but the ride down was icy/snowy!
Luckily on the big bike and took it easy until I got to lower ground.

Now it's lovely and warm in the garden out of the wind.

    unexpectedly windy here

fitted a new inner chainring yesterday, today i discover that the chain drops under load, grrr, did hills in higher gear

on close inspection it looks warped, need to remove and inspect, may end up putting the old one back on

on the plus side, cake was good

Looks like they're shooting a new low budget Transformers movie

Good lie in as we won't get one tonight when the clocks go forward. A day of job and stuff plus possibly a bit of work as it's almost year end for us.

Morning, Beautiful and sunny out, almost summer like. Today will be easy going followed by jab later. Big discussions with OH on job i went for and family implications. TL just remind her that it wont last for ever and the finished result will be worth it.

    Tricky innit

I think I'm erring on staying where I am now on an extended contract as it means I can spend more time at home whilst the kids are still tiny.

It was the right way up when I previewed it. Never mind. Yep definitely tricky decision to make. Go from easy going removing knives from my back and suffering with stupidity and idiots or go for fast pace headaches and more money oh and nights.

There is a always a danger of having backstabbing arseholes at the new place?

I assume you do engineering/PPM of plant and equipment, hence nights?

Was sunny. Made the rash decision of doing a bit of strimming and pottering about a bit.

    Now what?

Won't watch Catalunya as there's nuffink on TV tonight so will save for later.

grrrr, the stronglight chainring has a 0.25mm recess around the bolt holes on the clamping face, presumably this recessed area is big enough for a standard spider, but the edges of the recess foul on an srm spider, the chainring distorts when bolts are tightened

Pressure washed paving. Deck scrubbed with soapy water, hosed down and brushed. That's me done for the summer, apart from a bit of light sweeping from time to time.

Self stacking as in the SoC model loading up on the steroids et al?

Good ride ridden. Heavy headwind out, but lo, on the return leg plus having partaken of a gel, zooooooommmm! Been low on rides this past month, bit of cba plus spells of pants weather. So upslopes a bit of a struggle. With this mini heatwave next week plus Easter weekend, Must Get More In.
