19mm vittoria tyres

i own a pristine1995 Bianchi endurance bike originally bought with vittoria 19mm tyres.having gone through several tyres over the past - 2 years although only ridden on high days and holidays - i am finding replacement 19mm tyres very difficult and expensive to come by. is it safe to fit 23 mm vittoria tyres on to the original Ambrosio / Campagnolo wheels?

I don't see why not if there's clearance for them in the frame.

once I inherited an 18 mm tubular... it was about the same size as a line of toothpaste... frightening to think of riding on that

I think I have a 19mm on a HED disc wheel in the loft. Its kinda narrow but nothing cackworthy tbh....

You only need big tyres if you're a fat knacker.

teams used to ride Roubaix on 19mm - shudder to think of that now. if you have clearance 23mm will be fine or even 25mm

    17mm and 130 psi. That's the ticket.
