So, it turns out that it hasn't official been postponed as yet.
A report in newspaper Le Parisien says that the cobbled Monument, scheduled to take place on April 11, will be delayed because of the worsening health situation in the north of France. Le Parisen says the race could be rescheduled at the end of the 2021 season, potentially on Sunday, October 24 or Sunday, October 31. Le Parisien says that an official announcement about the 2021 Roubaix is expected on Wednesday (March 24).
So, they are talking about holding it either two or three weeks after the season has finished. Well if so, that's pretty rubbish.
Now they've almost done the full Merkel and dialed it back to there being "a chance it might get cancelled". That's according to the French sports minister, as opposed to a newspaper. Meanwhile, the ASO are looking into ways of keeping the public off the route. Not an easy task, given how well known the route is.

They need to get the riders to come out hard and say they want to race, but please no spectators turn up. Some still will of course, but hopefully not enough to cause too many issues.
Boonen & Cancellera should make a personal appeal live on Sporza during E3 & GW. (Then when Fans still turn up at Roubaix, De Vlaeminck can say how much better he would have been at getting them to stay away).....

This has been happening on Belgian TV since they started racing again.
