Compatibility of FSA gossamer crankset and Shimano BB-RS500 press fit

I'm hoping to fit FSA gossamer crankset from Synapse (with BB30a) into a Giant Defy with RS500 PF BB. Should this be compatible?? Thanks

    Nope as the FSA crank will have a 30mm axle and the Defy is BB86 meaning that it's only compatible with 24mm axles.

    You could change the bottom bracket to a BB86 one that accepts 30mm axles but there are several experts out there who say this is a bad idea due to the fact that narrow bearings have to be used.
