New brake lever, new olive?

Hi,
I’ve had to replace my trp brake lever and am just wondering whether I’ll need a new olive when I reattach the hose. I also won’t be cutting down the hose but has the seal already been compromised since I removed the hose from faulty lever?
Cheers

It is good practice to replace the olive but try it first. Just screw it back on but never gorilla wrench it down and try you brakes up and down the road, leave it over night and check it hasn’t leaked. But for the belt and braces approach and peace of mind, replace the olive.2

I always change them, I'm not sure its always necescary but it saves having to do a job twice, saves a potentially spoiled ride and possibly the cost of new pads and a cleanup.
they're very cheap and since you're sitting there with the hose unattached, snipping off the old and putting in a new olive and barb is a one minute exercise.
If you've never done it before, it's probably more daunting than it is in reality. and one of those jobs that can be done without any special tools unless you like that sort of thing and then you can buy some new ones.
Absolutely no down sides to replacing it
