Wahoo Mount Installation Issues

Hi, All -
New bike has snug cable routing, making it difficult to install Wahoo out-front mount w/o stressing the bar tape and cable housing. 1) Could forcing the mount into place have negative impacts on the cables/housing? 2) If so, short of rerouting cables, what's the best means of getting this installed w/o causing issues? I'd like to avoid stem and stem cap mounts if possible, but open to all suggestions.
Thanks!

There are other makes such as K Edge and F3 which have different profiles and different connections to the bars/stems/faceplates. These may help but I tend to just push the cables out of the way and don't notice any difference.

Plus there numerous non-branded cheapos on Ebay and Lazada (Asia) etc.0

Just use it on the top bolts rather than the bottom.

Could you not just undo the bar tape, and try repositioning the cables lower down the front of the bar and retape?
