I'm almost 3 weeks post jab now. When are the pubs open?

I think they are just trying to fill the slots so sending them out to the next age group down before the expected time.
If there was perhaps a slow take up by the 60-65 group they would have people sitting around with their fingers up there....and vaccines staying in the bottles.

I have had a PE and two bouts of DVT and am on blood thinners for life but didn't get called early just in my age group so don't think blood clots count as an underlying condition although according to some European countries it could be a by product!!

My newest minion had his a couple of days ago. He's 27. He has asthma, and if you have ever been hospitalised because of it, you're front of queue. He was hospitalised aged 2.

Yep, almost exactly the same as what I heard from someone else.
I think I was hospitalised with asthma once as a kid. Not expecting a jab any time soon though, and the only thing that triggers it these days is hill climbs.

I think my BMI is currently high enough to bump me up the priority list though, it was borderline pre pandemic however having not been weighed at the docs for years they don't know this.

Got friends who have been shielding due to health conditions and they're still waiting for theirs.

Have they asked for a time, or just waiting?

The strategy is clear thistle - if you're impatient for a jab, hit the pies and the beer. Win-win.

    Let's put this into context:

AstraZeneca has said 37 blood clots have been reported out of more than 17 million people vaccinated in the EU and Britain. Five of the cases were deep vein thrombosis, and 22 were pulmonary embolisms. “This is much lower than would be expected to occur naturally in a general population of this size and is similar across other licensed covid-19 vaccines,” it said in a statement.

    From the British Medical journal.

I’m a great admirer of pasties, fat ones, flat ones, crimp on the top or on the side, little bit of warm gravy glaze at the seams 🤤 sod chocolate, give me a pasty any day! I often gaze lovingly upon the pasties as I make my way to the fruit and veg isle, just to see how they are and if they miss me. Ginsters on sale for £1 this morning. 😩

I like the idea of a pasty, but I was often underwhelmed once i actually had one. The only ones that seemed to satisfy where the curry/balti ones.
