Mech Hangers

Am I right in thinking I have to go back to the original manufacturer/supplier to source a replacement mech hanger?

Nope, I've recently sourced 2 different ones for my bikes - 1 for a Principia (bike no longer manufactured) and 1 for a Jamis. I got these through ebay - 1 was a "gearmechhanger.com" brand, 1 from seller "bikeaider".

Both have been installed and working fine.

Ideally you can look for the hanger by bike/model/year and compare with the hanger on your bike as there can be subtle differences but in my 2 instances they've matched up fine.
