Choosing my next XC / trail tires

my stock tires are worn down and i need to pair new tires.
i am doing mostly technical xc / light trail and looking for something that rolls well and have reasonable traction. i can manage without knobs on the sides as cornering is not really important for me.
i saw this Editor's picks: https://bikeparts.guide/editors-picks-best-cross-country-tires-combinations/ and wondered if that make sense - to put ardent race 2.25 in the front and an ikon 2.2 in the back.
the rekon looks like a fantastic option as well: https://www.maxxis.com/catalog/tire-559-140-rekon

It depends what surfaces you mostly ride on. That should dictate the tyres you choose.
