Garmin 820 Power Meter

So I’ve bought a Garmin Edge 820 Explore and a stages G2 power meter. I’ve been trying to pair them but to no success. After reading on the web it maybe that the 820 explore doesn’t have the function for a power meter. Whereas the normal 820 has got the function. Would this be correct?

    Unfortunately you are indeed correct.

    Yes, that's the main difference. Also no WiFi (no great loss if you have a smartphone), or strava live segments. When they first came out, the explore was fifty quid cheaper.

    Thanks for the replies guys. So it’s either get rid of the Garmin or get a new 820 or ditch the power meter. Oh well you live and learn 🤦‍♂️
