Monday, making Tritium flavoured lollipops

Hedge cutter bloke turned up on behalf of farmer millionaire 21 year old Dutch boy bloke...
Well, I thought he had but was only doing it along the road.
Asked him if he could do mine and he did the front.
No problem.

He asked me if I needed mine done (the rest of it), oh yes, but I said that farmer boy bloke wasn't keen because the ground in the field was soft.
"I'll just go in and do it" says hedge cutter bloke. And so he did. Went to cross hedge cutter blokes palm with silver and farmer boy bloke flagged me down.

"...blah de blah de blah hurdy gurdy.. [passive aggressive, hands in pockets]... if you could flatten the 'tracks' that would be excellent..."

Oh f**k. Plank of wood and some heavy blokes needed. It will have to wait until after Shorty schooling.
Maybe I should wait till it's pi$$ing down (that'll be Tuesday). Maybe enough rain will flatten the ruts.

Morning, Rob, just release some hoofed animals onto the area, they will solve the issue.
Soggy here no home schooling occurring here no ones of the required age, instead its me myself and I while the OH escorts the dog for a poop.

Plans today around designing bits and I may tackle a bit of a model kit I've put out to remind me to finish it.

Mrs GTi WFW today which leaves me doing remote learning with 8yo and 13yo plus my own WFH tasks. Already migrainey and stressed because reopening schools in one massive Big Bang on the 8th March seems like, yet again, my health and well-being as a teacher is worthless. Can’t see how only being allowed to see a limited number of people outside from the 29th is sensible but being stuck in a limited space indoors with upwards of 100 people from different areas/households 5 days a week is perfectly fine.

Stop the world, I really, REALLY want to get off. Or move to the outer Hebrides or something.

They really ought to start vaccinating teachers, police and other health care workers.

They really should. I’m just over 50 so should get mine by the end of March/April-ish (I think) anyway. So long as COVID realised that it needs to stay away from me in the meantime I’ll be fine. My younger colleagues are obviously not so lucky...
  • Still feeling the after effects of the weekends efforts, 18.5km off road run with 500m of climbing on Saturday (got a good soaking)
Shortish ride on Sunday, only 36km with 440m of climbing (got another soaking)
Doing general stuff today, trip down south tomorrow for an unzoomable meeting.

I reckon vaccinating teachers and front line workers need to be prioritised, especially if they want schools to go back Marc h8th. Problem last time was in part as schools went back an as we all know schools an germs always happen always has been, come back after Christmas an share the germs round.

Another day in the box. More appraisal and pay rise/bonus review stuff to add into the mix as well so trying to juggle a limited pot between minions. Will also be twisting the boss' arm this week on building my evil tax dodging empire.

Funny you mention Tritium Mr. P, I've recently ordered a watch that has tritium gas tubes on the dial to make it glow in the dark B) I'm easily pleased...

Yep Missus is in the same boat, impossible to social distance, pressured not to wear masks and moved to different bubbles if more kids are in/teacher shortages, defeating the entire point of a bubble!

  • Day off works, because my hands are still sore and also had appointments. All clear from skin doc at least, removed blotch was nothing cancerous. Just another scar to add to the identifying marks list.

Been off bike for 2 weeks now, getting grumpy

The watch dealers aren't starving Seano :)

One of my little projects for lockdown has been getting the collection completed. N+1 isn't just a bike thing...

Actually, now you mention it, I'm starving.

That's about right on the dimming - got an old one from c. 2005 that needs the tubes replacing.

Bit of bike fettling. Outside! It's not raining! The sun is shining! It's 9C but feels warmer - c'mon the UV.

Front wheel dropped off for hub re'lubeing. Not sure I have the correct size cone spanners, and if I do goodness knows where they would be. So bugrit, let a pro do it. Noticeable graunching noises from front while out yesterday. Spinning it holding the axle could feel the lumpiness.

    Now then. Holiday planning starts...

Think it was about 12 degrees when I set off pedalling earlier.
Seemed like summer except it went dark at 6.

    Evening folks,
Busy day in the orifice has been endured. Apparently 12000 steps taken including a short walk to get lunch. The 5 miles to the old dear's is fewer than that. Shows how much traipsing up and down the warehouse I have to do to sort out stupid. With a wobble to and from work I've been active today at least.
So we might be allowed out soonish, that Roundhouse gig should be alright then Stevo 😁
